MATCH UPS: Rollins vs SCAD

SET UP: The Tars are back from winter break and are reato start the back half of its schedule hosting NAIA No. 1 Savannah College of Art and Design.  


ROLLINS: Last time out, the Tars squashed the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets 111-73. The Freshman Sydney Willis has been lighting up the 500 freestyle this season posting a new school record with a time of 4:56.96. She is now ranked 10th in the nation with that time and is ranked third in the conference. Additionally, the talented Willis is ranked first in the SSC for the 100 IM (1:02.78).

Beatriz Olivieri had two first place finishes against the Yellow Jackets in 100 IM and the 200 yard freestyle. In the 100 IM (1:03.00) she is ranked second in the SSC and for the 200 yard freestyle (1:57.03) she is ranked sixth. She is also ranked first in the SSC in the 200 Fly (2:01.80).

Darrelle Pawley is ranked fifth in the SSC for the 50 breaststroke stopping the clock at 33.12.

SCAD: The SCAD women's team is ranked No. 1 in the NAIA Top 10 Poll. Spencer Sheridan was named BGMC Swimmer of the Week. She swam a 51:83 in the 100 Yard free ranking second with that time. Kaylen Hou is ranked second in the 50 yard Breaststroke with a time of 32.09.

SCAD is 2-1 in dual meets and has won the Bureau Invitational and Birmingham Southern Double Dual.


The Tars will return to the pool Saturday, January 25. They will be traveling to Florida Tech in Melbourne, Fla.
