Tars Quartet Named CSCAA Scholar All-America; Teams Honored

WINTER PARK, Fla. (July 8, 2019) – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America has included four Tars on its 2019 Scholar All-America teams. Freshmen Christian Huber, Beatriz Olivieri and Sydney Willis were on the Scholar All-America list while senior Makenzie Grider was Honorable Mention.

CSCAA Release

The award recognizes students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed at their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention members achieved a GPA of 3.50 and a "B" time standard or competed at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier.

The CSCAA also recognized both men's and women's programs as Scholar All-America Teams. The Tars men's team posted a 3.36 GPA in the spring semester while the women earned a 3.46 GPA in the semester.
