WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Rollins Women's Tennis team partnered with Buddy Up Tennis as part of a community service project over the weekend.
The Tars went to Red Bug Park, in Casselberry, Florida, on Saturday, November 10, to meet, coach, and play tennis, with a group of young athletes with Down Syndrome.
Buddy Up Tennis exists to serve individuals with Down Syndrome the opportunity to learn the sport of tennis, and engage in fitness activities, in an enjoyable and supportive environment. Athletes, Buddies, and Coaches work together as a TEAM to have fun, foster friendships, build confidence, and develop life skills both on and off the courts.
The Tars have ended their Fall Schedule, and will now prepare for the Spring season, which will get underway against Arkansas-Fort Smith on February 1.
