TEMPE, Ariz. (February 20, 2019) – Following a 2-0 start, the Tars jumped four places in the latest ITA National Rankings, the organization announced. Rollins now sits at as the No. 16 team in the country.

The Tars have picked up wins over Arkansas-Fort Smith and Valdosta State to open 2019. Rollins defeated the Lions 6-1 to open the year, before traveling to Valdosta State and shutting out the Blazers 5-0.
Barry University continues to lead the poll, which is dominated by SSC institutions. Lynn and Saint Leo jumped from fifth and seventh to second and third respectively. Hawaii Pacific sits fourth, and Academy of Art, a team the Tars will face later in the year, round out the top-five.
Beyond the top-three, Nova Southeastern sits at No. 7 and Florida Southern jumped from No. 17 to No. 9. Rollins rounds out the SSC contingent at No. 16, while Tampa received votes.
The Tars face Division III Bates on Wednesday, February 20, at 4 p.m. Rollins kicks off conference play against No. 2 Lynn and No. 7 Nova Southeastern on the road this weekend.
