No. 5 Urban Knights Too Much for Tars

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (March 13, 2019) – The Tars dropped their final match of their Spring Break road trip, as they were unable to upset No. 5 Academy of Art, falling 4-0.  The Tars return home at 5-5 on the year.  The Urban Knights improve to 5-2 on the year.

Academy of Art took two doubles matches to claim the point. Rollins fell 6-3 in both the first and second courts as the Urban Knights jumped out to the 1-0 lead.

The Tars lone point came as Academy of Art could not field a player up against Carley Goldman in the sixth position.  Ola Durzynski had forced a third set in her top court match, and Savanna Fuller was playing competitively in the second spot. But, both matches went unfinished as the Urban Knights clinched the match with three singles wins.

The Tars return home, and take a short break from competition, before hosting Florida National on March 20.  First serve is set for 4 p.m.
