TEMPE, Ariz. (April 3, 2019) – Rollins returned to the National Rankings, coming in at No. 43, in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Poll. Alexandra Borg and Teresa Kaiser remained among the top doubles pairs in the country, resting at No. 35 in the rankings.
The Tars fell to NAIA No. 2 Keiser to start the week, but recovered to earn a key Sunshine State Conference win over Florida Tech last time out. With the win over the Panthers, Rollins Head Coach Bev Buckley earned her 500th career victory. The Tars now sit at 8-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
Borg and Kaiser have occupied the top doubles position for the Tars, and have earned a 7-3 overall record. The duo have also tallied a win against nationally ranked opposition.
Lynn, Barry, and Saint Leo are the top three teams in the SSC dominated ranks. Nova Southeastern jumps to No. 5 this week. Florida Southern is just outside the top-ten at No. 14. The Tars re-enter the poll at No. 43, ahead of No. 46 Embry-Riddle and No. 47 Palm Beach Atlantic.
Rollins faces the No. 3 Lions tomorrow, Thursday, April 4, at the Bert Martin Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m.
