TEMPE, Ariz. (April 10, 2019) – Rollins stayed among the best teams in the nation despite a slight slide in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Rankings. The Tars settle at No. 47 in the poll, down four spots from No. 43 last week.
The Tars fell to a pair of Sunshine State Conference favorites last week. The Tars registered 6-1 defeats to Saint Leo then Barry, two teams that held steady, at No. 3 and No. 2 respectively, in this week's poll.
The SSC dominated the poll once again. Lynn took the top spot, followed by Barry and Saint Leo, as the first three teams all hail from the Sunshine State. Nova Southeastern sits at No. 7, while Florida Southern, at No. 19, account for the schools in the top-20. Embry-Riddle, No. 43, Rollins, No. 47, and Palm Beach Atlantic, No. 49, round out the conference contingent.
The Tars travel to No. 19 Florida Southern today, Wednesday, April 10. First serve in Lakeland is set for 3 p.m.
