The Tars finished ninth at the event, posting a score of 273. The race was competed at the Embry-Riddle campus in Daytona Beach.

"Our women's team has been battling injuries and illness the entire year, but I am very proud of the way the season and today's race turned out," said interim Head Coach Nate Weyant. "Two of our runners were doing a competitive 6k for the first time today and performed great. I was also happy to see seniors Aby (Wong) and Katie (Rioux) finish so strong in their last race. All in all, I think it was a great day for the Tars."

Wong was the Tars top finisher, taking 58th in a time of 29:20. The senior broke 30 for the first time in her career over a 6k to end her career on a high-note. Alex Lichtner finished 75th with a time of 31:39, more than four minutes faster than her time at the championship a year ago.

Kerstin Carroll posted a time of 33:11 in her first collegiate race to take 78th and fellow freshman Anna Belle Warren was 78th in a time of 33:24. Rioux finished 82nd in 34:18 to put a cap on her career.

A huge thank you to the staff at Embry-Riddle for partnering with us in hosting this championship," added Weyant. "Coach Rosolino runs a first-class operation and we wouldn't have been able to pull off this elite meet without his help."
